Bathroom Remodel Phase 3 Complete!

This bathroom remodel has taken a few months to complete. Uh, wait a minute. I should correct that to YEARS! I just remembered that I posted the first phases of this multi-phase project some time ago. So I looked it up and it was in 2012! Here is a recap of what I posted back then.

Phase 1 - Remove and replace the old toilet and vinyl flooring.
Phase 2 - Sand off old wall texture and repaint walls with mottled look. Replace light fixture, towel rack, mirror, and shower curtain.

The old lilac bathroom

The textured wall was no fun to sand down.

All that work was completed in the fall of 2012. A year and several months later I finally decided to finish the job. I wanted to have a tile counter. I found some 6 inch tiles that were left over from the kitchen remodel several years ago. I also found some small brown glass tiles from my table resurfacing project. Kevin wanted an above counter vessel type sink so I found a number of beautiful brown glass sinks on line. Kevin found a sink and faucet combo and ordered it. As soon as the sink got here we started Phase 3.

Phase 3 - Remove and replace the old counter and sink. Refinish the oak cabinets with a darker stain.

This is the old finish and counter top.

Lots more sanding

This is the dark finish.

DONE!

The finished product. Finally.

SEAHAWKS!!!

WOW! This was a fun football season with the Seahawks! I am not normally such a big football fan but the last couple of years I have gotten more enamored with this awesome team. I think what makes me so proud of them is the amazing team mentality that they seem to have. Most football teams have a super start that the team relies on to perform every week. This team is truly a team. They rely on each other to do their jobs. They were so fun to watch this year. Here are a few highlights from the past season.

Tailgating with the Remferts

Jan and Chris came to one of the games and tailgated with us.

Jan and Chris and Kevin and I at the game

Most home game Sundays were spent babysitting the boys while Crystal and Jayson enjoyed the games with their season tickets.

I made Crystal this Seahawk nut cracker for Christmas.

I saw this Seahawk bus driving around Maple Valley.

The Super Bowl party. This is the kids taking time to paint some Seahawk posters. Jacob got up to bust a move.
Jacob created this 12th man sign on his own.

What a handsome12th man.

Kimberly is about to learn that repeatedly throwing a football will lead to a very sore arm the next day.

The Super Bowl gang

Children playing beer pong. Is that wrong?

Torrin mainlining chicken wings

What a beautiful Seahawk Super bowl day.
Seahawk colored food

Seahawk crock pot, duh.

All this strategy for not. Jordan won both halves.

The ultimate Seahawk fan.
